Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Asset Management (AM) function manages the assets that Swiss Re generates through its core insurance and reinsurance businesses. We do so using a robust asset-liability management process. In addition to matching assets and liabilities, our team optimizes risk-adjusted investment returns within defined risk limits. Our clients are the Business Units, Reinsurance, Corporate Solutions and Admin Re. Their portfolios are managed individually according to their needs and objectives. AM Business Services provides an efficient operating platform capable of supporting all financial market activities conducted by Swiss Re.
The job is focused on the administration of Reinsurance Collateral. You will be responsible for the administration of collateral contracts (namely Letters of Credit / LoC) between Swiss Re, custodians and clients, with the purpose of ensuring their value corresponds to Swiss Re's reinsurance exposure in line with regulation. The job itself along with the team's trainings framework and Swiss Re's knowledge-sharing culture offer excellent learning opportunities as you would have insights into the investment and transaction/collateral lifecycle end-to-end process.
• Administration of collateral contracts (e.g. Letters of Credit / LoC) between Swiss Re, custodians and clients
• Collateral adjustments - instructing banks externally and booking in internal systems
• Maintenance and control of collateral data in internal systems
• Calculation of internal and external fees for LoC billing
• Communication and day-to-day contact with internal and external stakeholders to address their queries
• Collaboration in initiatives and new tasks and initiatives
• Suggesting improvements for tasks and processes
• Supporting your team of colleagues
