Purpose of the role is to manage, execute and conduct the innovation, renovation, productivity or technical projects as well as supports local continuous improvement and cost savings activities. Manage projects within the scope of business development and engineering activities. Take full responsibility for project management and lead a project at plant organisation.
Initiate and manage the studies for business development strategic plan. Initiate, recommend and supports activities to run the local operation assets most effectively and to highest safety and quality standards.

  • The Project Leader co-operates effectively with both local and central Engineering and BD organisation.
  • Cross-functional management of projects. Support implementation of new appropriate procedures, products and technologies, establishing optimal (quality/cost/capacity) process parameters.
  • Assuring of financial, legal and quality management system requirements within a scope of the position responsibility.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Project management
Initiate, manage, execute and conduct local projects as a leader or member of project team. Is responsible for project justification, preparation of PDR and CAPEX Appropriation Request, project planning and execution, tracking of spending and project commissioning and handing over to the user.
Manage projects within the scope of business development. Take full responsibility for project management at plant level.
Lead other project team members.

  • Project execution
Direct and autonomic contact with BU partners concerning new projects – new product development, re-launches, productivity, promo activities, etc.
Arrange all relevant and necessary information for project from BU side and Operation as well (inno/reno changes description, volume, timing, capacities, etc.).
Organise preparation of relevant IBR drafts, communicate to Controlling department all relevant information.

  • Project meetings organisation
Manage project meetings with other internal department to inform them about the project and discuss the issues resulting from project implementation with all relevant departments.
Lead / manage project workshop according IIM methodology – PM workshops, DFMEA, FMEA, FAT and SAT, SGA teams.
Present project progress.
Summarise the tasks, prepare and distribute minutes.

  • Support productivity activities
Initiate, co-ordinate and support productivity projects as COGS projects, renovation or procurement activities.

  • Support Capex investment program to be realized in time and according to actual budget
Prepare and present Capex estimation during project preparation phase and finetune it before AR Capex approval.
Propose, evaluate and implement productivity projects outcomes, assuring continually material, manpower, organisation and quality/design benchmarking process.
Contact with conversion team, local and central Engineering and other plants in case of productivity (e.g. product transfers) and Capital Investments (e.g. process optimization, capacity, etc.).

  • Participate on evaluation of the trials and test results with new raw and packaging materials done by RD&Q
Evaluate feasibility, impact on capacity/headcount and collaboration with suppliers during development implementation processes.

  • Support commercialization of new products and processes
Support implementation of any new technology with R&D team.
Process commissioning.
Sales samples preparation.
Participate in Production start-up meeting.
Support start-up of production.

  • Co-operate with Safety, RD&Q, QA, BD commercialisation, CI and Production Units in the implementation of Continuous Improvement, Product/Food Safety, GMP and HACCP measures

  • Co-operate with Procurement team providing technical and production specification, prepare RFQ and evaluate the received quotations. Organise and conduct meetings with OEM suppliers

  • Trouble shooting in production units and any other areas of local operations within the scope of the position. Support stabilisation of production performance during CQV phases applying SGA methodology

  • Compliance with the requirements of IMS (Integrated Management System) ISO 9001:2000, 14000, 18000, 22000, QPE, SSE rules, reporting, other duties
Ensure compliance with all internal guidelines and external regulations.
Document activities and provide data as requested.
Possible participating on other projects.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Required:
  • Must be graduated Technical Engineer
  • 5 years experiences in Operations (Manufacturing, Engineering, Business development) is a must
  • Process-Engineering / Food-Technology / Packaging-Engineering experience required
  • Project management experience is required
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external partners required
  • Good knowledge of different production processes within the category, quality standards and SSE requirements
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Quick problem solving skills required
  • Ability to work in team and independently
  • Must be fluent in Czech and English - both spoken and written

Preferred:
  • Understanding of financial and manufacturing
Key Performance Indicators is a plus
  • Negotiations skills preferred
  • Other European language is a great advantage
