Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • The BI Business Analyst is accountable for all regional SAP-BI solutions in the by safeguarding the data model consistency, the data flows process structure the data integrity and all reporting solutions deployed within the region

  • Project & functional team support:
  • Ensure that the provided standards and guidelines are followed during the execution of the projects, Drive BI Project Methodology in terms of functional data modelling globally
  • Guide the functional team to validate changes according standards and guidelines and the integrity of the whole BI data model.
  • Support on the analysis of upstream and downstream impact of a bigger change requests
  • Take over Project Management Responsibilities within regional projects

  • Data Management and Information Lifecycle Management:
  • Implement common standards and guidelines for all regional SAP-BI solutions in in the supported area
  • Develop and provide an information overview across the responsible functional area to gain more information transparency, and to enable more calculation and report reusability
  • Drive Information Lifecycle Management within his region to optimize the BI Landscape

  • Portfolio and project planning support:
  • Support the regional & global portfolio process by presenting reporting and analytical possibilities coupled with estimates on costs and development effort
  • Support global BI Portfolio requirements in the supported BI area by working closely with regional BI instance leads
  • Support & Represent the BI Functional requirements globally
  • Review and Guide CoE team from BI functional requirements perspective
  • Driving BI Engagement and promote the agreed BI Business Strategy

  • Data Management and Information Lifecycle Management :
  • Accountable for the observance of MDLZ BI Data Model guidelines and strategy as well of the development of an information overview across the responsible functional area

  • Portfolio and project planning support

  • Ensure that the provided standards and guidelines are followed during the execution of the projects

  • Project & functional team support
  • Accountable to change MDLZ way of using reporting solutions from simple standard reports to statistical

  • Good documentation skills for writing of standard and guidelines

  • Should have experience in leading and inspiring a teams without having line responsibilities

  • Should be able to communicate with business users on their current challenges and come up with solution

  • Find a good ratio between user needs and available technologies

  • A good overview on used data sources, relationships and related master data structure (functional data model)

  • Deep understanding of the responsible functional area on business processes, used data and information, KPI calculation. In this case on the areas:

• Consumer Insights
• Digital Marketing
• Market & Competitive
• New products management
• Marketing effectiveness

  • To be able to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the program and solutions

  • Deep knowledge in designing & developing data models, data flows and enabling process chains

  • Knowledge and hands on experience in SAP BW on HANA and query design, SQL Script & ABAP in the context of SAP HANA

  • High capability in designing/developing/supporting various reporting tools like BOBJ 4.0 Suite (SAP Business Objects Universe Designer, Explorer, Analysis for OLAP Office, Design studio and Lumira etc.) and Bex

  • Extensive experience in utilizing SAP BI Tools/Application which includes Data loads/Scheduling/ Monitoring

  • Cultural awareness in the workplace for working with teams across the globe
  • Experience in projects in FMCG industry

  • Understanding of Business Change Methodologies & Impact analysis

  • Deep know how on backend business needs in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance and related software products
