Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Cost calculation of structures products, parts, processes, tools and equipment for new and awarded business
  • Analyzing technical CAD data/drawings
  • Analyzing costs, bill of materials and tooling concepts to calculate complete product costs and summarizing results for the Management Team
  • Planning and calculating the amount of tools and specialist machines, determining the methods of production
  • Determine manufacturing feasibility based on CAD data or drawings
  • Calculating costs reductions
  • Working on EU and Global business quotes
  • Reporting to the EU Cost Estimating Team in Rietberg, Germany
  • Cooperating with other departments regarding cost calculation and requests for quotations

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Cost Estimator responsible for providing accurate, independent and realistic cost estimates of structure products, parts, processes, tools and equipment for new and awarded business at our Structures Division in Presov for EU and Global business quotes.

Personality requirements and skills

  • Masters degree in Engineering preferred
  • Min. 1-3 years of technical work experience with metals know-how (industrial engineering, tool making)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • MS Office skills – especially very good knowledge of Excel
  • Analytical and communication skills
  • Highly developed numerical skills
  • Ability to read 3D/technical data
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to learn and develop in Costing
  • Engaged self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Driving license and mental, psychological and physical health to drive a car and do the job
