Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Provide Customers/internal support information related to EDI issues/fixes/suggestions
• Identify, document and discuss process/EDI updates which can improve EDI and/or reduce failures and/or reduce supporting time need
• Provide Customer Support, for the Ingrammicro company on the problem management of customer issues, utilizing all of the companies development resources to resolve customer issues
• Responsible for a positive outcome so as not to compromise any future business with the customer
• Provide cost effective solutions to customers/internal issues within the company guidelines that will satisfy the customer to Ingrammicro's high standards
• Assist in the development of new processes and procedures that will enhance our overall service to our customers and keep/improve optimal process flow seen from a operation/cost/demand perspective
• Execute tasks as required in connection with system extensions or system upgrades
• Test and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors before deploying updates/improvements/fixes
• Oversee the daily performance of systems
• Maintain record of problems and remedial action taken
• Read technical manuals, confer with users, investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support
• Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
• Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software
• Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades
• Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems
• Keep close contact with global support to solve/identify issues
• If required, assist other Ingrammicro entities in the tasks listed above
• Maintain positive and proactive work attitude
• Any other task that might from time to time be required within this field of knowledge
