Bid & implementation program manager

Job Description

One of IBM's primary responsibilities to Lenovo is to support creation of global capabilities and pricing for Lenovo to utilize in their Lenovo-branded offerings. We provide for this via the global commercial contract called EPG (Enterprise Products Group.) The focus in most cases is on approx 80 primary countries. Their strategy is to be the #1 trusted data center provider for x86 and Thinkserver product lines.

What would be your role?

• to support the Project Executive from the beginning of new requests until their implementation at each country/geography
• to meet the deadlines associated with the requests for which you need a combination of Project Management skills, Leadership skills and establishing the network of focals in each country/geography
• to establish the necessary relationships with global offering focals to re-use as many processes/tools as possible with an added focus on speed through agile techniques and rapid deployment methods. IBM offerings are a resource for use and it is important
• to define and document the process end-to-end and identify all the focal roles/people who are needed at each phase
• to work with large pricing spreadsheets to combine multiple sources and complete pivots, lookups and macros

Moreover...

• The interfaces in each country/geography will include local project executives, delivery executives, pricers and service planning.
• Creation of powerpoint presentations is necessary.
• You should quickly grasp concepts, be a fast logical thinker and work unique hours in order to partner with each country/geography.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Fluent English
• Project or Program management experience
• Coordination of (and/or teaming to complete) tasks across multiple countries/timezone
• Team Leadership (or similar) to quickly grasp concepts and proactively drive and assist others to task completion (including escalation) on time
• Problem solving skills and risk-based decision making to achieve task completion on time
• MS office expert - Powerpoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Agile experience is requested (but not required)
