Last year, GlobalLogic Slovakia began to work on project for popular British company operating in the field of mass media- the Economist. Company with more than a hundred years long tradition made it from few pages long newspaper to highly respected and competent weekly magazine dealing with dozens of topics. As a company is willing to grow even more and keep up with the latest technology, it was GlobalLogic Slovakia and our team of specialist who got the chance to work on it.

We are currently seeking developers experienced in PHP and Symfony, willing to design, develop and support eCommerce solution based on ezPublish.

PHP/Symfony Developer will:
- design, develop and support eCommerce solution based on ezPublish.
-design and build advanced APIs for advertisements and classifieds
- collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams to define, design, and ship new features
- work on bug fixing and minor enhancements
- identify problems, data issues, areas for improvement, issues and acceptable strategies to address them
- troubleshoot and debug
- continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- unit-test code for robustness, usability, and general reliability

For PHP/Symfony Developer we are seeking person with:
- experienced developers in PHP (Symfony framework)
- good knowledge of relational databases, data services, REST API, authentication, authorization
- understanding of open source projects like ezPublish
- experience in common third-party APIs, frameworks, SDKs and libraries
- understanding of open source projects like Wordpress, Drupal, eZpublish etc.
- demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
- intermediate level in Git, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Scrum, JSON, XML, REST, Unit Testing
- passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- ability to work independently and also as a part of a team
- strong analytical and problem solving skills
- no problem to adapt to changing scenario and work under pressure
- sense for a detail

If you have experience with eZ Publish, Jenkins, GitHub, NodeJS, SQLite, MySQL, NoSQL, oAuth, or oAuth2, it is even better for you – as well as for us ;)
