Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for candidates for the Engineering Management Programme (focused on leadership in service depots).
The Graduate Programme is an 18 months programme for people who just graduated from university or have maximum 2 years of work experience after graduating.
In blocks of six months you will work on various positions in the organisation, it includes:
• An engineering management position on a service depot
• A project
• Working on a Head office department (supporting the engineering department)
This way you get a good picture of the organization and you will experience in practice what role suit you best. In every role you get many responsibilities in a relatively short period. You will be linked to the HR Manager who will coach you during the whole programme and also get every six months another supervisor (Placement Manager) when you change roles.
Arriva operates, besides Slovakia, in 13 other European countries. Part of your Graduate Programme can also be an international project in an other country. Besides that there are a lot of opportunities to share experiences and to network with graduates from other countries.

Information about the selection process
The selection is tough, but suits the responsibilities that you have to deal with. Arriva is looking for ambitious start-ups on the labourmarket and you are interesting for us if you belong to the best performers of the University! If you make it through the selection you get a contract of 18 months. At the start of the Graduate Programme you will prepare a personal development plan. The tests and impressions from the selection period will form the input. A large part of what you want to develop you’ll learn ‘on the job’. Additionally you can also follow off-the-job training centrally organized with the other international graduates (f.e. strategic & financial awareness, people management, communication & presentation skills and project management.
